Welcome to my blog. This is where I’ll share news of my upcoming events and updates on my current writing projects.
I’m delighted that my fourth novel, A Question of Perspective, was published on 4 September 2026. This is the third and final novel in the Julia Butler Series, but can be read as a standalone. Here’s the blurb:
A new beginning
A new home in an idyllic Norfolk village is the fresh start Julia hoped for. She joins the local book club, begins wedding planning, and starts to build up her counselling practice. But when tragedy strikes a new client, it rocks the entire community - and Julia - to the core.
A call for help
Whilst the village gossip mill fires up, a vulnerable friend with a traumatic past desperately needs the community to rally round. When they ask for Julia’s help, she must question whether she should cross a professional line, even if her heart is in the right place.
A leap of faith
Then there’s the connection Julia feels to an extraordinary woman, medieval mystic Julian of Norwich. Her wise words echo through all their lives and offer unexpected comfort. Can a religious figure from the past help Julia through her challenges, and guide her small community into a brighter future?

I’ll be talking about medieval mystic Julian of Norwich, an inspiration for A Question of Perspective. Julian is author of the first known book in English written by a woman. Her background is a mystery which has fascinated me since I first encountered Revelations of Divine Love over twenty years ago. In my novel I offer one possible interpretation and show how her influence reaches across the centuries to a small contemporary community in a Norfolk village.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A session and book signing. The church, built as a memorial to John Robinson, pastor of the Mayflower Pilgrims, will be open for Lincoln Heritage Open Days from 10.30am-2.30pm.

Book launch at Caistor Arts & Heritage Centre, Plough Hill, Caistor LN7 6LZ
Saturday 19 September 2026 2pm
Join me to celebrate the launch of A Question of Perspective at Caistor Arts & Heritage Centre, a beautiful conversion of a former Methodist chapel. I’ll talk about the inspiration behind the novel, give readings, take questions, and sign books. Light refreshments will be available from the Centre café.

I held my first bookshop event for my debut novel After The Funeral in The Rabbit Hole at their previous premises in Brigg. This year’s Regional and Country Winners of the British Book Awards Independent Bookshop of the Year (Midlands), The Rabbit Hole relocated to Grimsby earlier this year. I’m delighted to be visiting on 26 September to chat to customers, sign and sell copies of my books.

The Book Stop is the new indie bookshop in Brigg. I’m thrilled to be going there for the first time to chat about my writing, sign and sell copies of my books, answer questions, and meet other booklovers on 10 October. There will be complimentary light refreshments available. (I’m looking forward to trying the chocolate crunch, maybe after signing books!).
